Spencer came from business consulting and investment banking backgrounds. Prior to joining BMS Group, Spencer was the principal consultant of a consultancy firm that provides strategic advice to a leading US-listed Fintech operator In Asia and a brand-portfolio company in US on their transformation programs.

Between 2003 and 2018, Spencer had worked for a number of global Investment Banks covering in various industry segments, and last held the position of Hong Kong Strategist with UBS. He also has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of a publicly listed company since 2020 and works closely with local NGOs and serves the Community Chest since 2018.
